Meet the Author
Dakota Q Taylor writes speculative coming-of-age fiction about young people discovering that the lives and roles assigned to them do not quite fit—and deciding what they are willing to risk to choose differently. Their stories explore hidden rules, conditional acceptance, imperfect freedom, and the difficult line between adaptation and self-erasure. Dakota takes young people seriously and offers hope without promising that everything will work out neatly. Sometimes the victory is simply understanding the choice clearly enough to make it your own.
